Biography

I was born into a military family on March 31, 1985. My father retired a Lt. Colonel from the United States Air Force in 2017. My mother graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1984 but went back to college in the late 90's and received her bachelor's in nursing. She has since obtained her master's in nursing and continues to work as a nurse and nurse manager to this day. I graduated High School in 2003 and went to LSU for undergrad. I received two undergraduate degrees: one in political science with a concentration in political theory and another degree in religious studies with a concentration in Biblical Languages. I went to undergrad expecting to go into the ministry but soon developed a passion for law. I was accepted into St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio, Texas for the 2007 school year. I graduated in 2010 and was licensed to practice in 2013. I worked for myself for a long time, taking Court appointments and building my reputation. I have found a passion in family law and now practice family almost exclusively.

Why me? I began taking family cases as soon as I was licensed to practice. I began as self-taught but sought out the advice of others who have practiced much longer than me. I have handled literally hundreds of cases that deal with the entirety of the Family Code. I have handled child support cases, custody, divorce with and without children, protective orders, CPS cases, original cases, and modifications. While I work to be professional and maintain good relationships with the Courts and opposing counsels, I'm not at all afraid to "tee up cases" and take them to trial. I've tried both jury and non-jury family cases and have had significant success in both. I take pride in being prepared for my cases. Orlando and I do not believe in a volume business, but rather, we work hard for every client and prepare for every hearing like their lives and our business reputation depend on it, because it does. I am not judgmental and help clients in all aspects of life. Whether they've made mistakes or struggle with substance issues, they are entitled to fierce and aggressive representation. I make myself available to my clients to ensure that communication is never an issue.

I married my beautiful wife, Katie, in 2005 and am lucky enough to be married to her to this day. We have four wonderful children ranging in ages from 15 to 2. We have lived in San Antonio since 2007 and intend to retire here. When I'm not working or hauling kids from one activity to the next my main hobby is woodworking, building furniture and other things for the kids. I'm a huge LSU sports fan and the whole family proudly displays the purple and gold every weekend for and LSU game. I feel truly blessed in my family life and career and sincerely love what I get to do for a living. Litigation is my favorite part of my job. I truly enjoy getting into Court and having the chance to advocate for my clients.
